Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Liqunch collects through the Liqunch website, how that information is used, and how you can contact us with privacy-related questions.
What Information We Collect
Liqunch does not collect personal data from the app itself, except for license activation, license deactivation, license validation, device recovery, and update checks.
We collect only the information necessary to operate the website, deliver downloads, process purchases, and respond to support requests. This may include information you provide directly, such as your email address when contacting support.
For license-related requests, Liqunch may send the license email address, license key, a Mac device identifier, device name, app version, and macOS version to the licensing service. This information is used only to activate, validate, deactivate, recover, and support your license.
If you choose to start a PRO trial, Liqunch sends the verified email address, a device public-key hash, a namespaced hardware-derived hash, device name, app version, and macOS version to the licensing service. The raw hardware identifier is not uploaded. This information is used to deliver verification codes, enforce one trial per verified email address, detect abuse, provide the trial entitlement, support users, and measure whether a trial later converts to a permanent license. Trial email addresses are not used for marketing without separate consent.
We may also receive limited technical information from your browser or device, such as language, approximate location, and basic usage data. This information is used solely to maintain website functionality, performance, and reliability.
The website uses privacy-focused analytics to measure page views, short browsing sessions, and successful download starts. Liqunch does not use analytics cookies or local storage for this purpose. IP addresses and browser user-agent strings are processed transiently at the Cloudflare edge to create rotating HMAC identifiers, but the original values are not stored in the analytics datasets. The stored analytics fields are limited to timestamps, page paths, site language, download version, object name, and request type. These analytics records are retained for up to three months.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to operate the website, provide customer support, assist with purchases, improve the product and user experience, and maintain records related to transactions and support history.
We do not sell personal information and do not use your data for unrelated purposes.
Payments Through Paddle
Payments for Liqunch are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record.
When making a purchase, Paddle may collect billing, payment, and transaction information in accordance with its own privacy policy, buyer terms, and legal obligations.
Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain transaction records, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
Trial verification sessions and cryptographic challenges are deleted shortly after they expire. Identifiable trial fields are retained until 30 days after the trial ends and are then anonymized. Liqunch retains a keyed HMAC eligibility digest, trial status, start and expiry times, and aggregated conversion information for fraud prevention and eligibility enforcement. This digest is not displayed in the admin interface and is treated as pseudonymous security data.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use third-party services or include links to external platforms, such as Paddle or download hosting providers.
These services operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
